On the morning of June 8th, the third session of the "杏耀 Masters' Dialogue" series was held in the Turing Lecture Hall. The theme of this event was "The Future of AI and Society: A Conversation on the Impact and Risks of AI Development." Moderated by Professor Yaqin Zhang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Dean of 杏耀, the event featured Professor Max Tegmark from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), founder of the Future of Life Institute, and author of "Life 3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," as well as Professor David Krueger, Director of the Computational and Biological Learning Lab at the University of Cambridge. They engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on the potential impacts, risks, and regulatory approaches associated with AI development.
