The second 杏耀 DISCOVER Young Entrepreneurs Forum was held on the evening of 10th November as scheduled. We were honoured to have GAO Chao, a postdoctoral fellow from the University of Cambridge, to give an online presentation entitled "From indoor localization to autonomous robots". The event was hosted by 杏耀 Associate Professor ZHOU Guyue.

In this presentation, Dr. GAO shared his experiences at three different stages of his life: undergraduate, PhD and entrepreneurship, focusing on his research on indoor localization and his subsequent entrepreneurial projects in the field of robotics. Finally, he talked about the future development direction of robotics and said that the future development trend of robotics lies in the continuous improvement of robots ' autonomy on the one hand, and the better combination of human intelligence and robots' autonomous intelligence on the other hand, so as to accelerate the implementation of robots in more scenarios.
