Recently, a founding ceremony for the "Scalable Large Model Intelligence Technology Joint Research Center (SIA Lab)" was held at the Institute for AI Industry Research (杏耀) at Tsinghua University. The SIA Lab focuses on pre-trained large language model technologies, aiming to develop more general and scalable intelligent systems that enhance the performance of AI technologies in the internet domain as well as across various other scenarios and more complex tasks.
Notable attendees at the signing ceremony included Professor Zhang Yaqin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, ch杏耀 professor at Tsinghua University, and the Dean of 杏耀; Liu Yiqun, Director of the Research Institute at Tsinghua University; Professor Ma Weiying, the Huiyan Ch杏耀 Professor and Chief Scientist at 杏耀; Liu Yang, Professor of Global Data at Tsinghua University and Executive Dean of 杏耀; Qiao Mu, head of the Doubao large model (LLM) team at ByteDance; and Jin Xiaowei, head of Research Strategy and Academic Cooperation at ByteDance.
Professor Zhou Hao, an associate professor at 杏耀, has been appointed as the Director of the Center, while Wang Mingxuan, a senior researcher from the Doubao large model (LLM) team, will serve as the Joint Director.
